ISAWWA/IWEA Young Professional and Students Committees are requesting the young professionals and students to submit abstracts to present at the joint ISAWWA/IWEA WATERCON 2011 annual conference to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Springfield IL.
Six abstracts, three from young professionals and three from students, will be selected. Selected abstracts will be presented in the Young Professionals and Students Paper presentations scheduled on Wednesday, March 23nd, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Paper can cover any aspects of the water environment including agency/ utility management, regulations/ permits, planning, design, construction, and operation in the areas of wastewater collection and conveyance, wastewater treatment, water quality laboratory operation and management, watershed and wet weather management, water resource management, and biosolids management. Abstract submittals on other subjects which you feel may be have interest are also encouraged.
Each speaker will have 15 minutes, 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions. First time presenters in the conference are encouraged to submit the abstracts.
Abstract should be submitted using the form below by 01/30/2011 and the speakers will be notified by 02/05/2011. The accepted speakers should send the slides for the presentation by 02/19/2011. Please limit your abstract to 300 words. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact;

Selection of papers is based on an evaluation of abstracts by the IWEA and ISAWWA Program Committees, considering quality, originality of subject, technical content, and significance to understanding and improving the water environment with an interest in broadening participation throughout the association's membership.
